Since when is Twitter available?
Twitter launched in March 2006 completely unspectacular as a research and development project of the company Odeo from San Francisco. It was founded by Jack Dorsey, Biz Stone and Evan Williams. Originally, Twitter was used as a means of communication among employees. A year later, Twitter already won the South by Southwest Web Award in the “Blogs” category. Meanwhile, Twitter is an independent company with 200 employees. Despite its popularity, Twitter does not make a profit. Current sources of revenue are partnerships with companies such as Google and Microsoft, who pay for access to Twitter’s data.
How did Twitter get his name?
The term Twitter comes from the English and means something like chattering or twittering. Bird sounds are short and on Twitter, the news is limited to 140 characters. So you chirp his messages in a short form to his friends.
How does Twitter work?
